The ancestral practices and ways of life, determined since time immemorial by the close relationship between men, the geography and the surrounding nature, drew the attention of Proxectoterra to the region of Melgaço. Distinguished with the National Urbanism Prize in 2010 and the Galicia Critics Prize in 2011, this Galician project promoted by COAG has among other objectives the promotion of more sustainable development models both for the territory and the architecture, starting from the sensitization of young people . Being an integral part of the didactic materials that help the guided tours that regularly the students of Galicia make to this zone of the country, the map and the guide propose an interpretative reading of the region's history from the geography and the architecture.
A ancestralidade das práticas e modos de vida, determinados desde tempos imemoráveis pela estreita relação do homem com os aspectos geográficos do território e a natureza circundante, despertariam a atenção do Proxectoterra para a região de Melgaço. Distinguido com o Prémio Nacional de Urbanismo em 2010 e o Prémio da Crítica de Galicia em 2011, este projecto galego fomentado pelo COAG tem por entre outros objectivos a promoção de modelos de desenvolvimento mais sustentáveis do território e da arquitectura, a partir da sensibilização dos jovens. Parte integrante dos materiais didácticos que auxiliam as visitas guiadas que regularmente os alunos da Galiza fazem a esta zona do país, o mapa e o guia propõem uma leitura interpretativa da história do Município a partir da geografia e da arquitectura.
