The Award "Arquitectos Agora" aims to distinguish the best stories from the internship period that precedes the admission to the portuguese Order of Architects presenting to new members reports in the first person of this relevant moment that indelibly marks the end of formation and the transition to active life. The story presented, which took place in Guimarães in the year 2012 during the context of the European Capital of Culture, describes the experience in MAPa2012, an experimental division of the Guimarães City Council created as model of citizenship applied to the architecture practice, reflecting on its importance, as well as the city and the CEC, in the civic formation and the revision of values and priorities of the future architect.
O Prémio Arquitectos Agora pretende distinguir as melhores histórias do período de estágio de admissão à Ordem dos Arquitectos dando, simultaneamente, a conhecer aos novos membros relatos na primeira pessoa deste momento, que marca de modo indelével o fim da formação e a transição para a vida ativa. A história apresentada, que se situa em Guimarães no ano de 2012 no contexto da Capital Europeia da Cultura, descreve a experiência no MAPa2012, uma divisão experimental da Câmara Municipal de Guimarães que pretendia assumir-se como um modelo de cidadania aplicada ao exercício da arquitetura, refletindo sobre a sua importância, bem como da cidade e da CEC, na formação cívica, na revisão de valores e prioridades do arquitecto.
